Dr. Will Jones is a native Memphian and lifelong Presbyterian.  He attended high school in Memphis before graduating from Washington and Lee University in 1992.  Will’s hobbies include exercising, gardening, hunting, and fishing.  Some of his favorite writers are Walker Percy, Flannery O’Conner, Wendell Berry, and Dallas Willard.  Will reads the sermons of Dr. Paul Tudor Jones and Dr. Hugh Ross Mackintosh for inspiration and insight.  Will believes that his experiences as a camp counselor at Alpine Camp prepared him for most aspects of pastoral ministry in the church.  His time in Scotland taught him to appreciate some of the great Scottish theological minds of the Twentieth Century, including the preaching of J. S. Stewart, Donald Baillie and John Baillie.  His theological interests include the conversation between faith and science, and his doctoral dissertation addresses the relationship between time and eternity in the eschatological writings of H. R. Mackintosh, Emil Brunner, and Jurgen Motlmann.  Will enjoys watching a wide variety of sports, and he is a passionate follower of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Memphis Grizzlies.

His wife, Susan, grew up in Nashville and is a graduate of Vanderbilt University. She has undergraduate and masters degrees in health and wellness promotion, and Susan has served as a substitute teacher at St. Mary’s Episcopal School.  Susan is involved in many aspects of church life, mostly in teaching children and youth Sunday School classes.  Susan enjoys the outdoors, reading, walking, and spending time with her family.

Will and Susan are blessed by the lives of their three daughters who attend St. Mary’s Episcopal School, Wofford College, and Texas Christian University.
